Joe Nehme loved auctions… so it’s no surprise he asked his family to sell his property and processions using the auction method.  These 134 acres that Joe called home… are located in the Southern End of Anderson County.  This private, heavily wooded and wildlife rich parcel is being offered in Seven Tracts. Since there is such a large amount of timber on this parcel… we have had the parcel cruised for its timber value and this has been included in the auction documents. Online bidding is reserved for entire 134 acre parcel; individual or any combination will need to be done on-site Tuesday, June 18th at 6PM!

 

  • Tract 1 which is the largest up for auction consist of 57.35 acres.  It has 1217 ft of frontage on Leatherdale Road and 2062 ft on McElrath Road.  This tract is also the one Joe chose to build his custom home and shop using grand timbers and construction methods from eras of past to make his home as authentic as possible.  Many elements in the home include treasures that Joe gathered over his years of collecting to make this property even more unique and special.  One of these is the 6-foot round brass clad window that is set at the end of the great room.  This windows first home was in a bank in Chicago and Joe purchased it and included it in this home. The home is heated entirely with its wood fireplace and the kitchen features a commercial stove.  The home has two bedrooms and two full baths as well as a loft that he used as an office.   The front wall of the home is filled with windows allowing you to fully appreciate this tranquil setting.  Your home which is situated on a high knoll of this tract welcomes you as you drive down your treelined roadway to the welcoming red roof of your home.  To the rear of the home is his shop which includes a second floor that he used as his “man cave”.  This tract has a great deal of frontage on two roadways which could easily be divided for future development.  Also, this tracts terrain offers you several places that you could add a pond to accent this beautiful property even more.
